About
Lindsey Peters is an innovative and results-oriented communications leader living with endometriosis. After struggling for years with painful periods, migraines, abdominal bloating, heavy bleeding, constipation, pain during sex, and frequent UTI’s, Lindsey was officially diagnosed with endometriosis in 2016. Since her diagnosis, she has tried countless medications, birth controls, other hormone therapies, and a variety of herbs and vitamins. She has eliminated foods from her diet and tried acupuncture. She has also had endometrial ablation, excision surgery, and a hysterectomy in 2020 where doctors left her left ovary in place. Although she has undergone treatments and surgeries, her endometriosis struggles are not over.
Through her journey, Lindsey has seen countless doctors, surgeons, holistic doctors, gastroenterologists, acupuncturists, and naturopathic doctors. You name it, Lindsey has done it or tried it.
Because of her communications expertise and first-hand experience with endometriosis, Lindsey made it her mission to advocate for the millions of women living and struggling with endometriosis like her.
Lindsey is now an Ambassador for the Endometriosis Association and an active member of numerous endometriosis support groups. She partnered with the Endometriosis Foundation to raise money for endometriosis research. She was a contributor to the Society for Women’s Health Research endometriosis toolkit as well as a member of their Endometriosis Education Working Group. She was also featured on an endometriosis panel for the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She has been featured in magazine articles about endometriosis, spoken on Capitol Hill to urge legislators to increase funding for endometriosis research, and participated in an endometriosis panel for Pfizer to help the medical field better understand the disease and the often-challenging diagnosis process.
Lindsey was born in Lynchburg, VA. She currently resides in Arlington, VA. Lindsey received her B.A. in Communication from Virginia Tech in 2012. She graduated with her MS in Strategic Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in May 2024.

I dedicate this website to my family. Especially my parents - Janet Schleicher and Ron Peters, who both passed away in 2021. They loved me unconditionally, were my biggest cheerleaders, and stayed beside me every step of my endometriosis journey. Everything I do now is to honor them and keep their memory alive. Love and miss you, mom and dad.
